Refund and Returns Policy

Because our treats are handcrafted, perishable, and made-to-order, we have established the following policy regarding returns and refunds:

1. Perishable Goods (No Returns)

Due to health and safety regulations governing cottage food operations, we cannot accept returns of any food items once they have left our possession. This ensures the safety and integrity of all the products we sell.

2. Order Cancellations

All orders placed with Local Thyme Bakery are considered final. This policy allows us to properly provision the high-quality ingredients and goods needed to complete your specific order. Once an order is placed, we immediately begin scheduling production and securing supplies; therefore, we do not offer cancellations or refunds for changes of mind.

3. Quality Concerns

We take great pride in our bakes. If you are unsatisfied with the quality of your order (e.g., incorrect flavor, damaged product), please:

  1. Contact us within 24 hours of receipt.
  2. Provide a photo of the product and a description of the issue.
  3. We will review your concern and may offer a partial or full credit toward a future order at our discretion.

4. Missed Pickups

If you fail to pick up your order during the designated window without prior notice, the order will be forfeited. Because the items are perishable and were made specifically for you, Refunds will not be issued for missed pickups.

5. Damages During Transport

Once an order has been picked up or successfully delivered, Local Thyme Bakery is not responsible for any damage that occurs during transport (e.g., a cake sliding in a car or melting in the heat). We are happy to provide tips on the best way to transport and store your items!
